- Design, build, integrate, test, and ship spacecraft structures ranging from:
- Large spacecraft such as MMS, JWST, GPM, and WFIRST.
- Earth and space science instrument platforms such as ATLAS and TIRS.
- Structures operating at cryogenic temperatures including Astro-H and ISIM.
- Space Station attached payloads including NICER and GEDI.
- 3-D solid modeling computer aided design, from concept proposal to fully detailed spacecraft assemblies.
- Generate complete drawing packages from the top level assembly down to the smallest piece part for fabrication under configuration management control with proper geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M .
- Use of a broad range of material systems including aluminum, titanium, and composites.
- Expert consultation and mechanical oversight for out-of-house missions such as TDRS, JPSS, GOES.
- Mechanical Ground Support Equipment design including lift slings, turvnover dollies, shipping containers.
